Europe’s largest poker festival will return to London’s Leicester Square this summer. The third annual Poker in the Park will take place on Thursday and Friday, August 13th and 14th. The event promises to be bigger than ever this year with several free tournaments and live oratory and signings from top tier online poker professionals. Last year and estimated 10,000 poker players gathered in Leicester Square to play. Players will also receive the opportunity to check out the latest poker technology and bring home all types of poker-related goodies.
“Poker In The Park is about bringing poker enthusiasts from all over the UK together to meet their poker heroes, improve their play and play poker absolutely free with other lovers of the game from all around the nation,” said Michael Caselli, Editor-In-Chief for Bluff Magazine in Europe.
Bluff Magazine says that it is too early to confirm which professional players will attend, but last year the event featured such names as Tony Holden (author of “Bigger Deal”), Ian Frazier, David “Devilfish” Ulliott, Paul Jackson, and Liv Boeree. Other special guests in 2008 included Nik Persaud, Neil Channing, Marc Goodwin, and Tom Sambrook.
