Accomplished offline and online poker pro Daniel Negreanu will have a small cameo in the “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” Negreanu will play alongside everyone’s favorite mutant and card shark, Gambit. A pirated version of the movie revealed Negreanu’s appearance. While he offers no dialogue, he mug is featured twice in a poker game between Wolverine and Gambit.

While Chris “Jesus” Ferguson is known for his uncanny ability to slice fruit in half with poker cards, the infamous Gambit harnesses kinetic energy which is many times channeled through playing cards. A brief preview of Gambit’s highly anticipated appearance can be viewed on www.x-menorigins.com.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine officially premieres on May 1st in the United States and Canada. “Wolverine lives a mutant life, seeks revenge against Victor Creed (who will later become Sabertooth) for the death of his girlfriend, and ultimately ends up going through the mutant Weapon X program.” The film stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth and Taylor Kitsch as Gambit.

Negreanu’s other onscreen appearances include a cameo in Luck You alongside Sam Farha, Chau Giang, Barry Greenstein, Ted Forrest, Minh Ly, and Erick Lindgren as well as poker icons Jack Binion, Doyle Brunson, and Johnny Chan.
