What We Say: Owned by eWorld Holdings, LTD, also owner of UltimatePoker.com, UltimateBet is one of the world's highest-traffic poker rooms. Their software offers very clean graphics and a very stable platform. The traffic at UltimateBet is very high and consequently, the competition can be very fierce at times. UltimateBet customer support is only offered via email which is insufficient, and this is really the only stroke against them. Until recently, UltimateBet held one of the top spotson our list of trusted poker rooms. But in June of 2008, allegations of "superuser" accounts able to view other players' hands were found to be true. Several employees of UltimateBet had cheated players out of thousands of dollars. The employees were summarily terminated and UltimateBet hasdone everything in its power to win back the trust of the poker playing community. But this breach of trust has dealt a heavy blow, especially as it followed right on the heels of the Absolute Poker cheating scandal.
UltimateBet Software Platform & Interface: UltimateBet's graphic interface is widely considered the best out there, with a very clean look. The UltimateBet proprietary software is extremely quick and stable. Superb added features include the MiniView, which allows players to view multiple tables and to easily switch back to standard view. The software supports 8 different backgrounds as well as player notes and detailed stats. Ultimatebet also provides a neat feature that allows players to track "friends"
UltimateBet Competition: As seems pretty standard at superior, etsablished poker rooms, the competition at UltimateBet is generally pretty stiff. This is especially true at the higher-limit tables where a good number of experienced players hang out. Players looking to wade in slowly should stick to low-limit tables.
UltimateBet Customer Support: UltimateBet support is limited to email which we find unacceptable. Email response times average under 12 hours. The responses are friendly and knowledgeable.
UltimateBet Cashier: UlimateBet deposits and withdrawals can be made wth a variety of options. Noticeably absent from these though are electronic check or ACH deposits/withdrawals. UltimateBet does not have any fees for deposits or withdrawals. NETeller payouts are processed on average within 12 hours and generally hit player accounts within 1 business day. The UltimateBet cashier is cvery secure and transactions are extremely smooth.
UltimateBet Rake: UltimateBet's rake is slightly subpar for the industry. The drop is taken more frequently than average which means a higher rake. However, in the higher stakes heads-up and three-player tables the rake is satisfactorily low. The tournaments generally have a flat fee charge of 10%.
UltimateBet Sign-Up Bonus: UltimateBet generally offers a 20% initial deposit bonus for up to $100 bonus dollars, while ocassionally offering 100% up to $500. UltimateBet makes it pretty difficult to earn this bonus though. Players earn bonus dollars at the rate of $1 for every 10 UltimatePoints. UltimatePoints are earned in equivalence with the rake then. So pay a dollar and earn $0.10.
UltimateBet Loyalty Bonuses: UltimatePoints are awarded for each raked hand or tournament as well as 1 point per hour and table during play. Extra points are awarded players who start up new games. Points can be used for entries to tournaments or merchandise purchases.
